Patron of the Andover Carnival, Councillor Iris Anderson was delighted to receive a cheque for £130 from Phil Evans Photography. The cheque was donated, with kind permission of the Pride of Andover Team, from sales of the £5 digital downloads Phil Evans took as their official photographer during the awards ceremony held at the Lights Theatre, which were hosted by Esther Rantzen.
Gold Sponsor of the Awards, David Mellor from David Mellor & Sons Jewellers is pictured here with Councillor Barbara Long, presenting David Wybrow with his photograph. David was Highly Commended in the Good Neighbour Category with over 300 comments on Facebook about his impeccable customer service skills.
Jo Pothecary, the Manager of Andover’s Tesco Metro Store in the Chantry Centre, where David is currently employed, said “ Customers say that he always cheers them up – they go to his checkout especially!”
Phil Evans told us, “David is just one of many people in our town who exemplify the true spirit of Andover. The Pride of Andover is a great event as it gives the town the opportunity to say thank you.”
